TAGS

I made some tag samples for a friend to use on the merchandise that she sells so while I was at it I created a few for myself to include with my customer orders.  Here are a few that I played around with.  I'll show you the tag that my friend chose for herself later in the week.

COOKIE JARS

Today I am sharing some cookie jars I made as favors.  A friend of mine asked me to make 15 jars for her friends that helped her to accomplish a goal.  Following are the three styles I created using Stampin' Up! Twitterpated fabric and assorted ribbons that are now retired.

Have a fabulous week.  Come back later in the week and I will share a Christening Book that I created.

EASTER BASKET

Today's post is an Easter Bunny basket filled with pastel colored M&Ms. I found this idea on-line somewhere, but I don't know who originated it (although there are many versions out there). Since I own every Stampin' Up! punch used to make this bunny it was easy to re-create. I also purchased a tutorial a while back on how to make the inside box so it worked out perfectly. I have another sample to show you later with bashful blue bunny ears and feet. I will also have a couple of Easter cards that I will post tomorrow. Have a great week.

CHRISTMAS LAYOUT

I am finally getting around to posting a few things from Christmas. The first is a Christmas Layout. I made this for a class I had last week. I used the sleigh idea that I've seen all over Stampin' Connection. I also used the idea for the postcard from someone on Stampin' Connection (unfortunately I did not save it so I don't know who to give credit to). I will post a few more Christmas items in the next few days.

Have a great week.

VALENTINES DAY - GIRL SCOUT PROJECT

Yesterday I worked with a sixth grade Girl Scout troop on the following project for Valentines Day. I did not take photos of the event (I'm so bummed about that), but they had a great time and they were so attentive and polite. My daughter, Cristina, who used to be a Girl Scout came along to help me out and took care of the assembly line for filling the jars. We topped each jar with SU's Flirtious Designer Fabric and some retired Melon Mambo ribbon.

For the card we used the retired "Love You Much" stamp set and the "Adorning Accents" embossing folder. And for the heart tag I used the "Hearts Collection" framelets and the "Elegant Lines" embossing foler.

Have a great weekend.

Sweet "16" Invitation

This coming July my daughter, Cristina will turn Sweet "16". We are planning a "Spa Day" with some of her closest friends. Cristina asked me to create the invitation for her because she wanted it to be unique and like no other invitation she has received thus far. So with that in mind she went to work on a color combination and I think she chose wisely considering it's a "Spa" theme: Early Espresso, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette. She asked for a vintage look so I thought it would be best to use the Early Espresso as the base for the card. This is what I came up with - one sample uses the "Vintage Wallpaper" embossing folder which provides a real vintage feel. The other uses the "Elegant Lines" embossing folder which gives a younger feel to a vintage look. Surprisingly, Cristina prefers the one with the "Vintage Wallpaper". I will share the inside of the invitation with you when it is complete.

Enjoy your day!!!!!

KRISCH'S RESTAURANT & ICE CREAM PARLOUR

This past weekend my daughter, Cristina and I went to brunch with our friends Maryann & Casey. We have heard about Krisch's in Massapequa, but hadn't gone there until today. Below are pictures of my meal. I started with a healthy veggie egg white omelet and wheat toast. Soooooo goooood!!!!! Then to top it off I had to have a sundae since Krisch's is known for their delicious ice cream treats. I loved every spoonful.

Enjoy your day!!!!!

Well we just finished watching the Giants beat the Packers. It was a good game and we are excited for next weekends game as well.

Today I want to share some Christmas cards that I received from a couple of friends that were hand-made and beautiful. The first is a card that I received from my friend and co-Demonstrator Sandy Mathis - my link is not working so here is the website: www.stampwithsandy.com.

The next is from my friend Debbie S.

The next is from my friend Colleen R.

And the last is from my friend Kathy S.

I really enjoyed getting these hand-made cards and I hope you enjoy seeing them.

I hope you all have a pleasant week.

Candle - Pines & Poinsettias

This candle was part of the Gift Bag and Card Set in the previous post. It was a class that I had just before Christmas. Everyone enjoyed learning how to make the candle using the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set.

My good friend Sandy Mathis had made these candles in a class that she did back in Oct/Nov (see previous posts). It was a lot of fun to teach everyone that attended my class how to make the candles and they were surprised at how easy they are to make.

I'll be making a lot of them for the next craft fair that I participate in along with the Gift Bag & Card Set that will fit the season.

Have a great week.
